 PROCESSING

• The production programme is taken up within 25 KM of the periphery of the plant so that the growers will bring their produce to their nearest processing plant at their own cost. 
• The processed seeds derived is packed in 20 Kg bags which are stacked in the godown adjacent to the processing plant with prior intimation to the certification agency official for drawing samples and testing of the seeds as per the Seed Act, 1966.  When the seeds are passed in germination test, the seed bags are tagged.
• The entire process starts from receiving of raw seed till the tagged seeds are diverted to the Agriculture department and through sale under Dealer Network. 
• Similarly the existing godown capacity available at OSSC is for 340662 qtls 
• OSSC is running processing plants at 31 locations having processing capacity of 1840 TPH for Paddy and 36 TPH for Groundnut. 
• The processed seeds are packed in 20 Kg bags for Paddy, 30 Kg. bags in Groundnut , 4Kg bags in pulses seeds as per Seed Act. and sold to farmers
• OSSC is running processing plants at 34 locations having processing capacity of 186 TPH for Paddy and 36 TPH for Groundnut. 
• The certified seeds  procured are stored scientifically in OSSC godowns and other hired godowns/ Govt. Godowns within 25 kilometers of the periphery of the seed Processing Plants.
